Former Arsenal star Thomas Partey has been granted conditional bail after appearing at Westminster Magistrates’ Court to face multiple sexual offence charges.
The 32-year-old, whose contract with the North London club expired in June, is charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault. According to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), the charges involve three women — two counts of rape against one, three against another, and one sexual assault allegation involving a third.
Partey appeared in court wearing a black zip-neck jumper and carrying a navy blazer, standing in the dock with his arms behind his back as proceedings took place.
He is scheduled to appear at the Old Bailey for a plea hearing on September 2.
