The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially unveiled the new trophy for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN).
The presentation, held on August 1, 2025, featured African football legends Victor Wanyama, Denis Onyango, and Mrisho Ngasa in a special unveiling video.
The new trophy comes as part of a broader revamp of CHAN’s visual identity, just a day before the tournament kicks off. The competition is scheduled to run from August 2 to 30, 2025, and will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
“With its sleek, contemporary design, the trophy blends gold and silver elements, symbolizing the prestige and continued growth of CHAN,” CAF stated. “Encircling the trophy are 54 lines, each representing one of our member associations, while at its center lies a map of Africa – a powerful emblem of the tournament’s pan-African spirit.”
