Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has conferred the national honour of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) on the victorious Super Falcons, champions of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
Speaking at a reception held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, President Tinubu praised the players and coaching crew for their outstanding performance.
In addition, the President announced cash rewards of $100,000 each and a three-bedroom apartment for each of the 24 players, while members of the team’s technical crew are to receive $50,000 each.
