Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem has made a return to French football, sealing a move to Ligue 1 side FC Nantes.
Awaziem previously spent the 2018/2019 season on loan at Nantes from FC Porto and will now be reuniting with the French outfit on a permanent basis.
The versatile defender, who played for Major League Soccer side Colorado Rapids last season and was instrumental for the club, signed a three-year contract with the Yellow Canaries after successfully completing his medical on Wednesday.
He becomes the only Nigerian in the Nantes squad following the departure of winger Moses Simon.
