Oleksandr Usyk delivered a masterclass performance on Saturday night, stopping Daniel Dubois with a fifth-round knockout at Wembley Stadium in London to reclaim the title of undisputed heavyweight champion.
Usyk, who already held the WBA, WBO, and WBC belts, added Dubois’ IBF title to his collection, cementing his legacy as one of the greatest heavyweights of his era.
The early rounds saw a tactical exchange, with both fighters measuring each other carefully. But the action exploded in Round 5 when Usyk (24-0, 15 KOs) floored Dubois (22-3, 21 KOs) with a powerful overhand right.
Though Dubois managed to rise to his feet, he was clearly shaken. He attempted to mount a comeback with aggressive flurries, but Usyk remained composed. Moments later, the Ukrainian landed a devastating left to the jaw, sending Dubois to the canvas once more this time for good.
