Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong has set his sights on victory as Nigeria prepares to face Russia in an international friendly.

Eric Chelle’s men will lock horns with Valery Karpin’s side on Friday at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, marking the first-ever senior-level encounter between the two nations.

Nigeria head into the clash with confidence, having remained unbeaten in their last four matches.

Speaking ahead of the game, Troost-Ekong emphasized the team’s focus and readiness.

“This isn’t my first time in Russia or Moscow. I’ve played in Krasnodar, Volgograd, and other cities back in 2018,” he said during a press conference.

“Yesterday, we took a short walk and visited Red Square, but we’re not here for sightseeing. This is a business trip. We’ve already discussed our approach with the coach, and we’re ready for the challenge.”
