Werder Bremen defender Felix Agu has received clearance to play for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Agu, who is of Nigerian heritage, previously featured for Germany at the U-21 level. However, the German Football Federation (DFB) has confirmed that he has never played in an official match for Germany at either the senior or junior levels.

The 24-year-old was recently named in Nigeria’s squad for the upcoming Unity Cup invitational tournament by head coach Eric Chelle. He had been training with the team while awaiting FIFA’s approval to switch national allegiance.
With the DFB’s confirmation and FIFA’s clearance, Agu is now officially eligible to represent Nigeria at the senior level.
