Arsenal Women have claimed their second UEFA Women’s Champions League crown with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Barcelona in Lisbon.

The decisive goal came in the 74th minute, when substitute Stina Blackstenius calmly slotted home from inside the box to seal a historic win for the Gunners.

Earlier in the match, Arsenal thought they had broken the deadlock through an own goal by Irene Paredes, but it was ruled out following an offside review.

This triumph marks Arsenal’s first Champions League title since the 2006/07 season, when a stoppage-time winner from Alex Scott secured a 1-0 win over Umeå IK.
