Former Barcelona of Spain midfielder Ivan Rakitic has returned to his hometown club Hajduk Split.
The hardworking midfielder left Europe last season to join the Saudi Arabia Pro League side Al Shabab.
The Saudi side decided to terminate his contract by mutual consent following a 6-month spell with the team.
The 36-year-old scored once in 8 matches after joining the club in January 2024 as they finished 8th on the table.
Rakitic was born in Switzerland, scored 15 goals in 106 caps for Croatia and was part of the Croatia team that reached the final of the 2018 World Cup.
