As the football season nears its conclusion, Turkish Super Lig giants Galatasaray have provided a new update regarding the future of Nigerian international Victor Osimhen amid growing transfer speculation.
The powerful forward’s loan spell is set to expire this summer, at which point he is expected to return to his parent club, Napoli.
Interest in Osimhen remains high, with several top European and Saudi clubs reportedly keen on securing his services.
Speaking on Wednesday afternoon, Galatasaray’s board made it clear they would be open to retaining the striker—if the conditions are favorable.
“First of all, let’s enjoy watching a player like Victor Osimhen in the Super Lig this season. If the conditions are right for both the club and the player, then it could happen,” a club official said.
“But that is not our focus at the moment. Right now, Osimhen and the rest of our squad are fully concentrated on finishing the season with two trophies. Everything else is just secondary,” he added.
