Former Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo has advised Victor Osimhen to consider a move to the Premier League, despite the striker receiving lucrative offers from clubs around the world.
Osimhen came close to joining Chelsea last summer, but the deal fell through on the final day of the transfer window.
Speaking on the Abu Azeez podcast, Ighalo emphasized that the Premier League remains the best platform for Osimhen to further his career.
“I believe he should go to the Premier League, but he’s young and has people around him — his agent, his advisors — to guide him. If I were to give him advice, it would be to choose the Premier League. That’s the big stage, the biggest league in the world,” Ighalo said.
“That’s where he can really build a lasting legacy, one that stays with him even after retirement.”
Ighalo previously featured for Watford and Manchester United during his time in the English top flight.
