Former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabràgas has been announced as the first team coach of the newly promoted Italian Serie A side Como.
The skilful midfielder worked on the interim capacity last season and he was instrumental to the team promotion.
The club announced his appointment through its official website on Friday evening.
” Como 1907 delighted to confirm that Cesc Fàbregas will become head coach of the men’s team on a four year contract .
“The appointment comes after a successful campaign last season as interim and assistant coach culminating in the promotion back to Serie A”, the club said.
As planned Osian Roberts will now be fully focused on his role of Head of Development for Como 1907, tasked with creating a Como Culture within the organisation including coach education and player development plans.
