Victor Osimhen has emphasized the importance of maintaining momentum as Galatasaray continues its pursuit of a third consecutive Turkish Super Lig title.
The Yellow-Reds secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Alanyaspor at GAIN Park Stadium on Sunday, extending their lead at the top of the table. Okan Buruk’s side now sits seven points ahead of Istanbul rivals Fenerbahce, who have a game in hand.
Osimhen played a decisive role in the win, netting the match-winning goal.
The 26-year-old striker stressed the need for Galatasaray to remain focused and determined in the title race.
“First of all, I want to congratulate the team and thank our fans. Without their support, we wouldn’t have had the energy to secure these three points,” Osimhen told the club’s official website.
“We struggled in the first half but managed to improve after the break. We know that every match until the end of the season will be like a final, and we have to keep pushing to maintain our momentum.”
Osimhen has been in outstanding form for Galatasaray this season, registering 22 goals and five assists in 29 appearances.
