With a crucial World Cup qualifier against Nigeria’s Super Eagles on the horizon, the Rwanda Football Federation has appointed a new head coach for the Amavubi.

The Rwandan national team had been without a head coach since the departure of German tactician Thorsten Spittler.

However, the Rwanda Football Association (RFA) has now confirmed the appointment of Algerian coach Adel Amrouche to lead the squad.

Amrouche’s first test will come against the Super Eagles at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali.

Rwanda currently leads the group with seven points, while Nigeria sits second from bottom with four points.
