Sevilla FC’s medical team has confirmed that Nigerian forward Akor Adams, recently signed from Montpellier, will be sidelined for an extended period due to injury.

Adams, who joined the Spanish La Liga club last week, made his debut in a 0-0 draw against CD Leganes over the weekend. However, the club revealed that the injury occurred during Thursday’s training session.

Sevilla’s medical staff issued a statement confirming that both Adams and Sambi Lokonga sustained injuries, with Adams suffering from pain in his right thigh.

The Nigerian forward is expected to be out for anywhere between four to twelve months.
