FIBA has revealed the groupings for the 2025 U19 Women’s Basketball World Cup, and Nigeria’s Junior D’Tigress have been handed a challenging draw.
The draw, held late on Tuesday, places the Nigerian team in Group B, alongside Canada, China, and Portugal. This marks a significant step for the Junior D’Tigress, who will be making their debut at the global stage after finishing as runners-up at last year’s U-18 Women’s AfroBasket.
Group A includes the USA, Israel, Hungary, and Korea, while Group C features Australia, France, Brazil, and Mali. Group D consists of hosts Czechia, Spain, Japan, and Argentina.
The competition will take place from July 12 to 20, 2025, in Brno, Czech Republic.
