Nigeria forward Kelechi Iheanacho is eager for a fresh start at Middlesbrough, having secured a loan move to the Sky Bet Championship club from Spanish side Sevilla.
The 26-year-old expressed his excitement about joining his new team and is looking forward to the challenge ahead.
“I’m really excited to be here,” Iheanacho told the club’s official website. “It’s a lovely place, and they’ve made me feel welcome, so I’m really happy. The move happened really quickly—everything was fast and smooth, so I’m buzzing to be here. The coach is great, the team is strong, and I’ve played against them a few times. It’s a good club, and the manager is a really nice guy. I’ve had some great conversations with him, so I’m happy to be part of this team.”
Iheanacho joined Sevilla on a free transfer last summer after leaving Leicester City.
