Nigeria’s Flying Eagles has been handed a tough opponents in the upcoming WAFU B qualifier of the African Cup of Nations.
The team has training in Abuja under the tutelage of Aliyu Zubairu and their opponents was decided on Thursday afternoon.
According to the latest draw, Nigerian side was placed in group B alongside Burkina Faso and Cote d’Ivoire.
Group A consists of Ghana, Niger, Benin and Togo with the top 2 teams from the group reaching the semi final.
The competition is slated to hold in Togo in October and the two finalists will represent the region in the AFCON proper that will be hosted by South Africa.
