Mikel Arteta was not happy with the performance of referee Michael Oliver on Sunday in the top match between Manchester City and Arsenal.

The Arsenal coach thinks that the referee should not have given a second yellow card to Leandro Trossard.

Trossard had already picked up a yellow card earlier in the match and was sent off with his second yellow card just before half-time when Arsenal were 2-1 up.

The Belgian was punished for kicking a ball away.

Shortly before that, Jeremy Doku had also kicked a ball away, but he did not receive a yellow card.

“There were two incidents with two completely different outcomes,” the coach said on Sky Sports .

In addition, the Spanish coach thinks that Trossard was punished too severely.

Earlier this season, Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice already received his second yellow card for kicking the ball away.

“It’s the second time in five games that this has happened”.

” It’s very worrying. The people deserve the best Premier League”.

“If this is the new standard, then a hundred games this season will end in ten against eleven”, he added.
