Ahead of the commencement of the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup, African soccer ruling body has insisted that there will be no usage of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).
Over 120 clubs across the continent will kick start the 2024/2025 Inter-Club competition, with many of them playing their home game away from home.
The football body made it clear that VAR will not be in use at this stage and there will be no elite referee in charge of the preliminary round.
As the game kick off on Friday, 3 Nigerians clubs including El Kanemi Warriors, Rangers International and Remo Stars will be in action.
While former champions Enyimba International has been drawn bye from the first round.
