Eswatini to host 2027 CAA Congress as Presidential election set for March

The Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) has announced that the 31st CAA Congress will be held on March 19, 2027, in Mbabane, Eswatini.

The congress will bring together athletics officials and stakeholders from across the continent to discuss key issues affecting the development and governance of the sport in Africa.

Ahead of the congress, the CAA Council will convene on March 18, 2027, for a crucial meeting during which members will elect a new CAA President through a voting process.

The election is expected to shape the future direction of African athletics, with the newly elected president set to lead the continental governing body into its next chapter.
