Nigeria’s D’Tigers sealed qualification for the second round of the FIBA Basketball World Cup African Qualifiers in commanding fashion after defeating Rwanda 106-62 to complete a perfect qualifying window with three wins from three games.
The Nigerian side produced a dominant all-round display, overwhelming Rwanda on both ends of the court to underline their credentials as one of the strongest teams in the qualifying campaign.
U.C. Iroegbu starred for D’Tigers with a game-high 17 points and seven assists, orchestrating the team’s impressive offensive performance. Caleb Agada, Ikechukwu Mekowulu, and Stan Okoye also made significant contributions, each finishing with 13 points.
The comprehensive victory ensured Nigeria ended the qualifying window unbeaten, securing their place in the next phase of the African qualifiers with momentum and confidence as they continue their quest for a place at the FIBA Basketball World Cup.
