English club Nottingham Forest Women have announced the departure of Nigerian forward Joy Omewa following the conclusion of her loan spell with the club.

Omewa joined Forest on loan from Danish side Fortuna Hjørring and made a positive impact during her time with the team.

The Super Falcons attacker arrived in England after an impressive spell in Denmark, where she scored 52 goals in 85 appearances for Fortuna Hjørring.

Nottingham Forest confirmed Omewa’s exit through an announcement on the club’s official social media channels as part of its end-of-season squad update.

The Nigerian forward is now expected to return to her parent club, Fortuna Hjørring, while exploring opportunities to secure a permanent move elsewhere during the summer transfer window.

Omewa remains one of the Nigerian players attracting attention in the women’s game following her consistent goal-scoring performances in recent seasons.
