Team Nigeria continue their abysmal performance in the ongoing Olympic Games in Paris on Thursday.
Nigeria trio of Ese Brume, Ruth Usoro and Prestina Ochonogor raised the hope of many Nigerians when they cruised into the final of the Long Jump.
They also made history as the first set of Nigerian jumpers who made it to the final of the Olympics.
Competing in the final on Thursday, it was never meant to be as Brume could only finished in the 5th position with a jump of 6.70m.
The 28-year-old won a bronze medal in the event three years ago in Tokyo.
The duo of Usoro and Ochonogor also failed to make it to the podium.
