English Championship side Wrexham A.F.C. has congratulated goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo following his reported invitation to Nigeria’s Super Eagles squad ahead of the forthcoming Unity Cup tournament.
Although the Nigeria Football Federation is yet to officially release the squad list, Wrexham took to its social media platforms on Tuesday to celebrate the shot-stopper’s maiden invitation to the national team.
“Congratulations to Arthur Okonkwo on receiving his first call up to the Nigeria squad ahead of the Unity Cup,” the club posted.
Okonkwo, who impressed for Wrexham during the season, is expected to be among the players that will represent Nigeria at the Unity Cup scheduled to take place in London later this month.
