FIFA has officially unveiled the Technical Study Group (TSG) for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, a team of experienced football minds tasked with analysing the tournament and providing technical insights throughout the competition.

The initiative, conceived by former Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger, will be headed by former Switzerland goalkeeper Pascal Zuberbühler.

The group features several renowned football personalities, including Otto Addo, Tobin Heath, Jürgen Klinsmann, Jayne Ludlow, Michael O’Neill, Gilberto Silva, Jon Dahl Tomasson, Paulo Wanchope, Aron Winter and Pablo Zabaleta.

Also included in the panel is FIFA’s Lead of Football Performance Insights, Tom Gardner.

According to FIFA, the Technical Study Group will analyse all 104 matches of the expanded 2026 FIFA World Cup either live inside the stadiums or remotely from a dedicated performance suite in Miami.

The group is expected to provide real-time tactical and technical updates to fans while also contributing detailed analysis aimed at improving football development globally.
