The Rabat Court of Appeal has confirmed the convictions and sentences handed down by a lower court to a group of football supporters, finalizing prison terms ranging from three months to one year along with associated fines.
According to the ruling, nine supporters were sentenced to one year in prison, six others received six-month sentences, and three were given three-month terms.
The fines originally imposed in the first-instance judgment were also upheld by the appeal court.
The decision brings to a close the legal proceedings for the group, who were convicted in connection with events linked to football matches.
Three of the supporters, who received the shortest three-month sentences, are set to be released this Saturday after completing their terms.
