Nigeria’s Super Eagles secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Iran national football team in an international friendly played in Antalya, Turkey, on Friday.

The West Africans made a bright start to the encounter and took an early lead in the 6th minute through Moses Simon, who finished off a brilliant solo run to give Nigeria the advantage.

Nigeria maintained control for large spells of the first half and went into the break with a slim 1-0 lead.

The Super Eagles extended their advantage midway into the second half when Akor Adams found the back of the net, putting Nigeria firmly in command.

Iran responded late in the game, pulling one back after Nigeria’s defense failed to properly clear a corner kick, setting up a tense finish.

However, Nigeria held on to secure a 2-1 win, continuing their positive run in international friendlies.
