Nottingham Forest delivered a commanding performance on Sunday to defeat Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 away from home, compounding the struggles of the North London side.

Brazilian forward Igor Jesus handed Forest the lead on the stroke of half-time, finishing calmly in the 45th minute to silence the home crowd.

The visitors maintained control after the break and doubled their advantage midway through the second half, with Morgan Gibbs-White finding the back of the net to make it 2-0.

Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi was introduced as a substitute for Jesus and made an immediate impact, sealing the emphatic victory with a well-taken goal in the 87th minute.

The result further deepens Tottenham’s poor run of form, while Nottingham Forest continue to boost their standing with an impressive away display.
