Elite referees under the Confederation of African Football will converge on Cairo from March 4 to 8 for an intensive training camp aimed at sharpening their readiness for key continental fixtures.
The five-day program, organized by Confederation of African Football, is designed to prepare match officials for the decisive stages of Africa’s premier inter-club competitions.
According to CAF, the training camp will focus on enhancing technical accuracy, physical fitness, decision-making consistency, and the effective application of the Laws of the Game.
The initiative comes ahead of the crucial quarterfinal, semifinal, and final matches of both the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup.
The program is expected to include theoretical sessions, video analysis of previous matches, practical on-field drills, and assessments to ensure referees maintain the highest officiating standards.
With the knockout stages of the competitions approaching, CAF aims to ensure that its elite officials are fully equipped to manage high-pressure encounters and deliver performances that align with global best practices in officiating.
