Nigeria’s Super Falcons have commenced training in Yaounde ahead of their international friendly against the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon.

The nine-time African champions arrived in the Cameroonian capital earlier this week as preparations intensify for the warm-up encounter.

The friendly forms part of both teams’ build-up to the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations scheduled to hold in Morocco.

According to updates from the team’s camp, 11 players took part in the first training session held on Wednesday evening.

The session was led by team captain Rasheedat Ajibade, who marshalled her teammates through light drills and tactical routines.

Officials confirmed that the remaining invited players are expected to join the camp before the end of the week, with the technical crew focusing on building cohesion and match fitness ahead of the fixture.

The double-header friendly between the Super Falcons and the Indomitable Lionesses is slated for this weekend in Yaounde.
