Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, has handed Turkish champions Galatasaray a major boost after returning to full training ahead of their crucial showdown with Juventus.
Osimhen had missed Galatasaray’s 2-0 away defeat to Konyaspor last Saturday due to a minor knee injury, raising concerns about his availability for the decisive European fixture.
However, the 27-year-old striker participated fully in Monday’s training session as manager Okan Buruk intensified preparations for the second leg of their UEFA Champions League playoff tie.
The encounter is scheduled to take place on Wednesday at the iconic Juventus Stadium in Turin.
Galatasaray head into the return leg as favourites to progress to the Round of 16 after securing a commanding 5-2 victory in the first leg, with Osimhen playing a pivotal role by providing two assists.
The Nigerian international has been in prolific form in Europe this season and currently leads the club’s scoring chart in the competition with six goals.
