Nigeria’s Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi delivered a standout performance on Sunday as Fulham FC secured a 3-1 away victory against Sunderland AFC at the Stadium of Light.

Iwobi played a decisive role in the encounter, providing the assist for Raúl Jiménez to open the scoring in the first half.

The Mexican striker later doubled Fulham’s advantage midway through the second half to put the visitors firmly in control.

Sunderland were handed a lifeline after Nigerian defender Calvin Bassey committed a foul inside the penalty area.

The resulting spot-kick was calmly converted by Enzo Lee Fee to reduce the deficit.

However, Iwobi capped off an impressive display by netting Fulham’s third goal late in the game, effectively sealing all three points for the visitors.

The victory strengthens Fulham’s position on the table, with Iwobi once again underlining his importance to the team with a goal and an assist in a commanding away performance.
