Nigeria’s senior women’s national team, the Super Falcons, will intensify preparations for the forthcoming Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) with two international friendly matches against Cameroon in Yaoundé.
The nine-time African champions are scheduled to face the Indomitable Lionesses on February 28 and March 3 as part of their build-up to the continental showpiece.
The 13th edition of WAFCON will be hosted by Morocco from March 17 to April 3, with Africa’s top women’s national teams set to battle for supremacy.
The double-header against Cameroon is expected to provide the Super Falcons’ technical crew the opportunity to assess players, fine-tune tactics and build cohesion ahead of the tournament.
Nigeria will be aiming to reclaim continental glory at the competition after missing out on the title in the previous edition.
