Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has officially submitted a transfer request to his South African club, Chippa United.
The Nigerian international has been a standout performer since joining the Chilli Boys, establishing himself as one of the most consistent goalkeepers in the South African Premier Division.
Nwabali’s profile has risen significantly following his impressive displays for the Super Eagles at two consecutive Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, where his performances attracted interest from several clubs across Africa and beyond.
In response to the development, Chippa United on Thursday released a statement acknowledging the transfer request and expressing gratitude to the goalkeeper for his professionalism and service to the club.
The statement read in part: “We thank Stanley Nwabali for his dedication and contributions to Chippa United and wish him the very best in his future endeavours.”
Nwabali is now expected to consider his next move as negotiations with interested clubs intensify ahead of the next transfer window.
