The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that its Executive Committee (ExCo) will convene on February 13 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, with the meeting scheduled to hold at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.
CAF President, Dr. Patrice Motsepe, will chair the high-level session.
The meeting follows Dr. Motsepe’s announcement on January 30, when he disclosed that an Executive Committee session had been formally convened as part of CAF’s ongoing institutional and regulatory reforms.
As CAF’s highest decision-making organ outside the General Assembly, the ExCo will deliberate on critical governance and regulatory matters, with particular focus on the review of key CAF Regulations, including the CAF Disciplinary Code.
According to CAF, the core objective of the meeting is to strengthen the authority of CAF’s Judicial Bodies by empowering them to impose stronger and more dissuasive sanctions for serious breaches of CAF Statutes and Regulations, as well as for conduct that undermines the reputation, integrity, and global competitiveness of African football and CAF competitions.
The outcome of the Dar es Salaam meeting is expected to play a significant role in shaping CAF’s regulatory framework and reinforcing institutional discipline across African football.
