Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi has completed a loan move to Portuguese giants FC Porto from French Ligue 1 side OGC Nice.
The 25-year-old forward arrives at the Estádio do Dragão as Porto seek to bolster their attacking options, adding physical presence, aerial strength, and proven finishing ability to their frontline.
Moffi’s football journey has been a steady rise across Europe.
He left Nigeria at just 17 to join Buckswood Football Academy in England before making his professional debut in Lithuania with Zalgiris Kaunas and later FK Riteriai.
His prolific form in the Lithuanian league, where he scored 20 goals in 21 matches, quickly attracted attention from across Europe.
That form earned him a move to Belgian side KV Kortrijk, where despite a shortened spell due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he impressed by scoring six goals in 11 appearances.
His performances paved the way for a transfer to French club Lorient, where he made an immediate impact in Ligue 1 and established himself as one of the league’s most consistent forwards before later joining OGC Nice.
Moffi now arrives in familiar territory, having featured for Nice in their 3-0 defeat to FC Porto at the Estádio do Dragão in November.
He reunites with head coach Francesco Farioli, an old acquaintance, and is expected to play a key role in Porto’s domestic and European ambitions as the season progresses.
