Nigeria’s Super Eagles have begun to reap the rewards of their impressive run at the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, following a massive financial pledge from BUA Group chairman, Abdul Samad Rabiu.

The Nigerian billionaire businessman has showered the Super Eagles with cash incentives after their morale-boosting victory over Algeria in the quarter-finals, while also promising even bigger rewards should the team go all the way to lift the trophy.

In a statement released on Sunday, Rabiu praised the players for their commitment and fighting spirit, noting that their performances have lifted the mood of the nation.

“Congratulations to our Super Eagles players on a brilliant victory against Algeria. You have lifted the spirit of the nation, and we proudly cheer you on as you prepare for the semi-finals,” Rabiu said.

To further motivate the team, the BUA Cement chairman pledged a sum of USD $500,000 to the players if they win their semi-final clash, with an additional USD $50,000 promised for every goal scored in the match.

Rabiu also announced a more lucrative incentive should the Super Eagles reach and win the final, pledging USD $1,000,000, as well as a bonus of USD $100,000 for each goal scored in the final.

“Should you go on to win the final, I further pledge USD $1,000,000, plus USD $100,000 for each goal scored in the final. Wishing you continued success as you carry Nigeria forward,” he added.

The Super Eagles will face host nation Morocco in the semi-finals, as they continue their quest for a fourth Africa Cup of Nations title, with growing support and motivation pouring in from stakeholders across the country.
