Nigeria’s Super Eagles completed a flawless group-stage campaign at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations with a convincing 3–1 victory over Uganda, securing maximum nine points from Group C.

Trabzonspor striker Paul Onuachu opened the scoring in the 28th minute, calmly converting to give Nigeria a deserved first-half lead.

The Super Eagles tightened their grip on the contest after the break, with Club Brugge midfielder Ralph Onyedika delivering a decisive brace.

Onyedika doubled Nigeria’s advantage in the 62nd minute before striking again five minutes later to effectively put the game beyond Uganda’s reach.

Uganda managed a late consolation goal through Roger Mayor, who found the net in the closing stages, but it proved insufficient to alter the outcome.

The win confirms Nigeria’s dominance in the group, as the Super Eagles finished with a perfect record of three wins from three matches, sending a strong signal ahead of the knockout phase of the tournament.
