The West African Football Union Zone B (WAFU B) has appointed former Super Eagles midfielder Mutiu Adepoju and two other Nigerians into its newly constituted committees.

The appointments followed the 18th Ordinary General Assembly of WAFU B, which was held in Rabat, Morocco, where the zone officially inaugurated its seven committees. Each committee is made up of a chairperson and two members.

This development marks a historic milestone for WAFU B, as it is the first time the zone is constituting committees under this new structure.

The Nigerians named on the list are Mutiu Adepoju, a former Africa Cup of Nations winner with Nigeria, alongside Ruth David and Timothy Hymen.

Their inclusion is seen as a recognition of Nigeria’s continued contribution to football development within the WAFU B zone and the wider African football community.
