Craven Cottage produced one of the most sensational games of the Premier League season as Manchester City edged Fulham 5–4 in a chaotic nine-goal showdown on Tuesday night.

City dominated the early stages, with Erling Haaland breaking the deadlock in the 17th minute before Tijjani Reijnders added a second in the 37th. Phil Foden’s quickfire brace goals in the 44th and 48th minutes  appeared to put the champions comfortably out of sight. A Sander Berge own goal in the 54th further strengthened City’s grip.

But Fulham roared back.

Emile Smith Rowe struck in first-half stoppage time (45+2’) to restore hope for the Londoners before the second half turned into a furious chase. Alex Iwobi slotted home in the 57th minute to narrow the deficit, and substitute Samuel Chukwueze stole the spotlight with a spectacular brace in the 72nd and 78th minutes, dragging Fulham to within one goal of an improbable comeback.

The hosts pressed relentlessly in the closing moments, but City survived the late onslaught to claim all three points in a breathtaking contest.
