Kelechi Iheanacho has returned to full training and travelled with the Celtic squad for Thursday’s UEFA Europa League clash against Feyenoord.

The Nigerian striker trained with his teammates on Wednesday for the first time since sustaining a hamstring injury in the game against Sturm Graz last month, a setback that kept him out of action for six matches across all competitions.

His return comes as a major boost for the Scottish Premiership champions, who are aiming to secure a positive result in the crucial European fixture. Iheanacho is now in line to make his first appearance under interim manager Martin O’Neill.

The 29-year-old joined Celtic as a free agent late in September and has quickly become an important attacking option. Before the injury, he scored three goals in eight appearances, demonstrating his quality and versatility in the frontline.

Celtic fans will be hopeful that his comeback strengthens their attack as they continue their campaign in Europe and push to maintain domestic dominance.
