ASFAR secured their second CAF Women’s Champions League crown after a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Ivorian champions ASEC Mimosas in the final on Friday night.
The Moroccan giants showed class and determination in a pulsating final, becoming the first team in the competition’s history to lift the trophy twice.
Their triumph also marks a historic milestone, as ASFAR become the first Moroccan and African club to officially qualify for the inaugural FIFA Women’s Champions Cup.
The tightly contested encounter saw ASFAR dominate early exchanges before capitalising on key moments to edge past a resilient ASEC side, who refused to back down until the final whistle.
With continental glory secured, ASFAR now shift focus to their next major challenge—representing Africa at the global stage.
The Moroccan champions will face Wuhan Jiangda of China on 14 December in Berrechid in their opening match of the FIFA Women’s Champions Cup. The stakes are high, with the winner advancing to the semi-finals where English powerhouse Arsenal awaits in London.
ASFAR will be hoping to continue their historic run and further establish themselves as giants of women’s football.
