Nigeria’s Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has been crowned the Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year at the 2025 CAF Awards held on Wednesday night in Rabat, Morocco.

The award marks a historic achievement for the Paris FC shot-stopper, who has now won the prestigious honour three consecutive times, confirming her status as the best in Africa between the posts.

Nnadozie delivered outstanding performances throughout 2024 and early 2025, notably playing a key role in Nigeria’s triumph at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, where her heroic saves guided the Super Falcons to the title. Her excellent club form with Paris FC in the French Division 1 Féminine also strengthened her chances for the award.

The Nigerian international beat stiff competition from Morocco’s Khadija Er-Rmichi and South Africa’s Andile Dlamini to clinch the trophy once again.

The 23-year-old continues to cement her legacy as one of Africa’s greatest female goalkeepers, making history with another remarkable achievement for Nigerian football.
