Super Eagles vice-captain William Troost-Ekong has hinted that the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco could be his final appearance for Nigeria.
The experienced defender, who made his debut for the national team over a decade ago, has been a key figure at the heart of Nigeria’s defence and played an instrumental role in several major tournaments.
Although Nigeria failed to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, they remain among the 24 teams set to compete for the continental title in Morocco.
Ekong, speaking about his future, revealed that he is considering documenting the tournament for personal memories.
“I might likely bring back my content creation for the next AFCON because I think it’s likely going to be my last one for memories and to show my kids when they grow up,” he said.
