Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen, captain William Troost-Ekong, goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, and winger Moses Simon headline Nigeria’s 24-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup African Playoff Tournament, scheduled to kick off next week in Rabat, Morocco.
Head coach Eric Chelle has also included Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi, Frank Onyeka, and exciting youngster Benjamin Fredericks in the traveling party. The attacking lineup features Ademola Lookman and Samuel Chukwueze, while Spain-based forward Chidera Ejuke earns a recall alongside goalkeeper Okoye.
Nigeria will take on Gabon in the first semi-final at the Complexe Sportif Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan (22,000 capacity) in Rabat. The second semi-final will see Cameroon clash with DR Congo at the El-Barid Stadium (18,000 capacity), also in Rabat.
Chelle’s squad further boasts Raphael Onyedika, Tolu Arokodare, Jerome Akor Adams, and Olusegun Olakunle, adding depth to the Super Eagles’ attacking options.
Defender Oluwasemilogo Ajayi will miss the Gabon tie due to suspension, following an accumulation of yellow cards during the qualification campaign.
Players are expected to arrive in Rabat from their respective clubs across Europe and beyond by Monday, November 10th, to begin final preparations for the crucial fixtures.
