Super Eagles winger Moses Simon was the hero on Saturday as Paris FC stunned AS Monaco 1-0 at the Stade Louis II, ending the hosts’ six-match unbeaten streak.

Simon, who has been in fine form since joining the capital club, struck the decisive goal in the 53rd minute. The Nigerian international latched onto Maxime Lopez’s precise cutback and rifled his effort into the roof of the net from the center of the box.

Monaco, buoyed by back-to-back league victories that kept them within touching distance of leaders Paris Saint-Germain, struggled to break down Paris FC’s compact defense despite late pressure.

The result sees Paris FC climb further up the Ligue 1 standings, while Monaco’s title chase takes a hit with the narrow home defeat.

It was another solid outing for Simon, whose pace and creativity continue to make him one of Paris FC’s most influential players this season.
