Super Eagles forward Olayinka parts ways with Red Star Belgrade

Super Eagles striker Peter Olayinka has officially ended his stint with Serbian champions Red Star Belgrade after mutually agreeing to terminate his contract.

According to a statement released by the club, Olayinka requested to leave in pursuit of a new challenge in his career.

“Red Star Football Club informs the public that it has mutually terminated cooperation with Peter Olayinka with mutual understanding and appreciation,” the club announced on its official website.

“Peter expressed his desire to seek a new challenge in his career, and the club wishes to thank him for his professionalism, dedication, and contribution during his time with us. We wish him continued success, good health, and happiness in the future.”

Olayinka, who joined Red Star Belgrade after an impressive spell with Slavia Prague, was part of Nigeria’s Super Eagles squad at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
