Nigeria’s Super Eagles goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye, has made a return to action for Udinese after serving a two-month suspension.

The Nigerian shot-stopper was sidelined following allegations of involvement in a betting scandal but has since been cleared of any wrongdoing.

Okoye was back in goal on Sunday as Udinese battled to a 1-1 draw against Cremonese in their Serie A encounter.

His return comes as a major boost not only for his club but also for the Super Eagles, who are preparing for their crucial World Cup playoff fixtures in Morocco.

The former Sparta Rotterdam and Watford goalkeeper will now aim to reclaim his place as Udinese’s undisputed number one and maintain form ahead of national team duties.
