Nigeria’s Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala has outlined the reasons they suffered defeat against Brazil and Spain.

Super Falcons lost 1-0 to Brazil in the opening group game and suffered by the same score line to Spain on Sunday.

The American based attacker attributed the defeat to their inability to take their chances.

“All I can say is I am proud of our performance. I think we played good.

“We played against the world champions and we had our chances, we had opportunities to score Spain, the Bay FC striker said after the game.

“I think the same thing happened to us in the first game. We were not clinical upfront. I think if we start scoring goals we can compete with any team in the world,” she said.

Falcons will confront Japan in the final group game.
